What’s Happening
Earlier this year, the Trovo team announced the shutdown of Trovo’s live streaming features to focus on their gaming business. Highlights from the announcement:
- All of Trovo’s live-streaming related features will be shut down on June 30, 2026, 00:00 (GMT+8).
- Recharged but unconsumed Elixir will continue to be usable in Trovo’s mini-grames and or purchased games. You may also request a refund before August 31, 2026.
- Any held Gems will remain valid and cash-out services will be maintained.
- Paid subscriptions that extend beyond the shutdown date and unused paid spells will be credited with an equivalent amount of Elixir.
- Trovo account, mini-game data, levels, and friend lists will be retained.
- VODs and chat history will be deleted after a legally mandated retention period.

How to Prepare
Set up Your Streamlabs ID
If you use Trovo to log in to Streamlabs and haven’t yet set up a Streamlabs ID, you should do so now. Setting up a Streamlabs ID now ensures you won’t have any issues accessing your account in the future. Learn how to set up your Streamlabs ID in our guide post.
Download Your VODS
Since VODs and chat records will be deleted after a vague “legally mandated retention period” you should download all live stream recordings you want to maintain before the June 30 shutdown.
Grow Your Audience Elsewhere
If you’ve built an audience on Trovo, it can be difficult to think about building back up on other platforms. If you aren’t already, now is a great time to start multistreaming to additional platforms to give your audience time to migrate with you and follow you to your other platforms.
