Today, we’ll show you how to go live to Kick and start streaming in just a few simple steps.
Step 1: Download and Install Streamlabs Desktop
The first step to live stream to Kick is downloading and installing the Streamlabs Desktop broadcasting software (if you haven’t done so already). Once you’ve downloaded the software, install it on your computer, launch it, and follow the onboarding steps in this guide to get started.
FYI, Streamlabs Desktop is built on the core OBS engine under their public license (GPL) and is a free, open-source software that can help you set up your live stream, and add custom overlays, alerts, and more.
Step 2: Set up Your Kick Account
After installing the software, you need to set up your Kick account. If you don’t have one yet, create and log in to your account.
Step 3: Create a Streamlabs ID (optional)
With Streamlabs ID, you can access all the creator apps Streamlabs offers, including Cross Clip, Talk Studio, Video Editor, Link Space, and more with one login.
Creating a Streamlabs ID is a simple process that you can start by visiting our website and clicking “Login.” For detailed instructions, whether you are a new streamer or an existing Streamlabs creator, visit our blog here.
Step 4: Launch Streamlabs Desktop and Connect Your Kick Account
Head to your Settings, then select Stream. Here, you can click Connect next to Kick to add it as a destination in Streamlabs Desktop.
You will be redirected to your browser to log in and grant Streamlabs the necessary permissions. Follow the steps to connect and head back to Streamlabs Desktop.
Step 5: Set Up Your Live Stream
Don’t forget to customize your live stream by adding custom overlays and more. We’ve integrated these features directly into Streamlabs Desktop, meaning you can access all of these options when live streaming to Kick with our software.

Step 6: Go Live
After configuring your stream setup you’re now ready to go live. Click on the Go Live button on the Streamlabs dashboard, give your stream a title, make sure Kick is toggled on and click Confirm & Go Live. Your live stream will start broadcasting on your Kick account.
Note: Please set the title in Streamlabs Desktop in order to go live.You will need to update your title manually on Kick after you go live as well. We are working with them to enable this functionality right in Desktop—stay tuned.
