Tell us about DreamerDesigns. Who/what is DreamerDesigns?
DreamerDesigns is a team of four designers that put our entire focus on delivering new and refreshing themes on a weekly basis and are always studying and improving within every style or aspect. We have been very active in the community for many years and don’t plan on going anywhere any time soon!
We are four long-time friends who met through Call of Duty that went different paths throughout the years, but all ended up designing here! I wouldn’t want it any other way. I am so proud to have this business with them and don’t know what I would do without them all.
How long has DreamerDesigns been making theme packages as DreamerDesigns?
Since February of 2020! It’s a never-ending amazing experience all around.
Why do you have an interest in the live streaming industry?
I love how streaming brings people together and creates relationships that truly help each other! Video games have been a huge part of our lives since a young age.
We often go around and find people that use our themes and personally thank and follow them. It’s very heartwarming knowing they chose us out of all of the amazing options. And it often excites them that we visit!
What was the moment that made you say to yourself, “I want to be a designer?”
I have always loved art in every form since before I can remember. I always loved art class, and then in high school, I was introduced to Ipiccy (a free designing website) and enjoyed it but knew I needed more. Everyone enjoyed my designs, so I finally got convinced to get Photoshop, and here we are! l I haven’t looked back since!
If there’s anything you could go back and tell yourself before starting out in this industry, what would it be?
To be patient with the learning processes. All things take time, and we learn in our own ways. But anything is possible if you keep at it!
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of design? Do you have a favorite game?
I am a huge fan of collecting Pokemon cards and watching streams where people open packs.
And I haven’t been gaming much, but Warzone and Apex were always my go-to’s.
What inspired you to create your own business?
Seeing all of the amazing design studios and artists truly making a difference and providing quality art for everyone. I knew right then that I wanted to do the same one day. And here we are!
What are your favorite packages you’ve made to date?
Redacted, Cracked, Deep Space, Pastel Blossom, Topo Chroma, Geography, Amazing, Snapped.
They are all very unique and amazing in their own way.
If you make custom graphics for streamers, what are your favorite packages you’ve made?
Way too many to list, but I recently did a space theme for a client, and she was thrilled!
Describe your design process for creating theme packages.
Finding inspiration within everyday things that I like or things I see across the internet, then brainstorming all of it and begin drafting!
If you could design a package for any streamer, who would it be?
Difficult to answer, but I would go with TimTheTatman as I love his aesthetic.
If you weren’t so damn good at your job, what else would you be doing?
If I didn’t pursue design and become lucky enough to make it my full-time career with years of hard work, dedication, and networking, I would most likely be miserable, stuck in a kitchen somewhere, and still trying to make my design business take off. And thank you for the compliment!
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be and why?
I would love to be an expert in general growth. That way, I could help more people with affordable pricing!
What would you like to do when you retire?
I pretty much see myself doing the same things, designing for fun, gaming with friends, and spending time with my amazing family.
What would you like to be known/remembered?
Always being positive and helping people in any way I can.
Do you have any advice for aspiring designers/creatives?
Practice, research, and always learning and discovering new ways.
You can then apply everything you learned to create a portfolio of sorts and send it out for opinions and potential job offers!
