Streamlabs Console is a web-based broadcasting studio that allows console streamers to create an engaging live stream using viewer engagement tools made by Streamlabs.
With Streamlabs Console, a PC or capture card is no longer required to create a professional quality live stream. Xbox streamers can now add alerts, overlays, and widgets to their streams in the same way pros do while maintaining an intuitive and simple-to-use solution.
Since Streamlabs Console broadcasts gameplay and audio, sound quality plays a significant role — this goes double for your mic quality. Give your audience a pleasant viewing experience by making sure they can see and hear you clearly. (Visit our blog to learn how to add an external webcam to Streamlabs Console).
We recommend plugging in a high-end headset with an integrated mic directly into your controller for best results. Twitch will automatically detect your mic and use that in your live broadcast. For more detailed steps, keep reading below!
How to Add an External Mic
- From the Xbox dashboard, click on the arrow up icon to open Capture and Share.
- Navigate to Live streaming.
- Turn the Microphone on.
- Select More options for microphone settings.
Xbox will automatically detect external microphones plugged directly into your controller, giving your viewers the best quality audio. Combined with the viewer engagement tools offered by Streamlabs Console, you’ll be ready to broadcast your console gameplay to the world!
