Can I use Streamlabs Console on my PlayStation or Switch?
No; at this moment, Streamlabs Console is only available for Xbox users. We hope to change this in the future!
How Does It Work?
Streamers can choose “Streamlabs” as a destination within the Twitch app, log in to Streamlabs Console to customize their stream, and Streamlabs Console will broadcast the stream to Twitch along with any personalized widgets, overlays, or webcam included by the streamer. Check out our full guide on getting started for more info.
Do I Need a PC?
No, when you broadcast from the Twitch app, the stream is sent to Streamlabs Console, which compiles all of your alerts, overlays, and widgets and then broadcasts that to Twitch. You can visit Streamlabs Console from any mobile device, desktop PC, or laptop to make adjustments to your stream or add additional widgets.
Do I Need a Capture Card?
No, with Streamlabs Console, a PC or capture card is no longer required to create a high-quality live stream. Streamlabs Console allows console streamers to add alerts, overlays, and widgets to their streams in the same way pros do while maintaining an intuitive and simple-to-use solution.
Do I Need an External Mic?
Streamlabs Console only supports a headset with an integrated mic plugged directly into your controller. We intend to add the ability to support external mics separate from your Xbox in the future.
Do I Need a Webcam?
Having a webcam for Streamlabs Console is not mandatory, but you can connect an external webcam to a USB port on your Xbox, which will automatically be detected. You can also use your mobile device as a webcam through the Streamlabs Console editor.
What widgets can I use?
Streamlabs Console also supports our Chat Box, Event List, and Stream Labels widgets at this time. Each of these can be customized via our widgets dashboard.
How Can I Customize My Alerts?
Streamlabs Console uses the alerts and widget settings you have set up on your Streamlabs Account. To customize these widgets, log into Streamlabs.com, sign in using Twitch, and visit our widgets dashboard to customize each one. You can also apply a theme to use its design for your alerts, chatbox, and recent events widget.
What Is Auto Live?
When you toggle on Auto Live, your stream will automatically start when you press “Go Live” from the Twitch app. When you toggle Auto Live off, you’ll have to manually press “Go Live” from Streamlabs Console to start your stream.
