In this edition of our Theme Designer Spotlight, we sit down with the talented team of byKron to talk inspiration, favorite themes, and their decision to design for creators.
What made you want to be a designer? How did you start designing overlays/alerts for streamers?
I have always had a strong connection to gaming, so I decided to direct my work toward this market. Before that, I worked in visual communication for marketing companies, which made it easier to adapt visual techniques and design fundamentals to the context of live streaming. The main challenge in the beginning was developing an aesthetic language that felt more aligned with the gaming audience and the visual expectations of this segment.
Could you share a bit about your creative process? What are your inspirations?
My creative process is heavily influenced by competitive games, game interfaces, and tournament layouts, all of which have always been part of my daily life. In addition, I also draw inspiration from films, series, game trailers, and visual platforms such as Pinterest, Behance, and X. All of these references help shape themes that have identity, visual consistency, and practical use for streamers.

What does it mean to be a business owner in the creator economy?
I am Henrique Araujo, founder of byKron. I am Brazilian, 25 years old, and I make a point of highlighting that because I believe it is important to show that young people from different parts of the world can also build solid businesses within this industry.
To me, being an entrepreneur in the creator economy means transforming creativity into real solutions for content creators, helping streamers strengthen their visual identity and make their broadcasts more professional. Tools such as overlays, widgets, and interactive features make this market increasingly relevant, accessible, and innovative.
Our entire workflow becomes much simpler when we use a platform as complete as Streamlabs to host, edit, organize, and distribute our overlays. Everything becomes easily accessible for any streamer, whether they are a beginner or an experienced creator.
What are your favorite themes you've made to date?
Overlay Package: I consider Black to be an extremely versatile overlay. It has a simple and professional visual approach that works well with different streaming styles, while also integrating naturally with the interface of most games. It is a theme that works very well for a wide range of streamer profiles.
Widget Theme: Stranger Alert Box stands out because of its visual personality and how consistent it is with the theme that inspired it. In addition, it features very well-executed sound design, which directly contributes to the overall live stream experience.
Reactive Overlays:
These projects represent our team’s level of dedication very well. They were developed with close attention to detail, more elaborate animations, and sound design created to make the visual experience more dynamic and immersive.
How does your team operate?
In general, the team works with very similar setups. We use Logitech peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and headsets, which are part of our daily creative routine.
Most of the team works on desktop computers with two monitors: one for references, communication, and organization, and the other dedicated to editing software. Among the main tools we use are Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Cinema 4D, and other solutions focused on composition, texture creation, illustration, and animation.
Some designers use drawing tablets for illustration work, while others prefer using a mouse, such as the Logitech Pro Wireless.
byKron works with talent from different parts of the world. Although most of the team is based in Brazil, we also collaborate with professionals from Asia, Europe, and the United States.
