Streamlabs Controller app is an easy and free way to controller your Streamlabs Desktop live stream scenes, sources and general production.
Preparation
To use the Streamlabs Controller app, you need a phone capable of:
- Running the latest version of the Streamlabs Controller app
- Android version 5.1 or higher (Android Google Play Store)
- iOS version 12 or higher (Apple App Store)
Set Up
- Install or update to the latest version of the Streamlabs Controller app on your mobile device.
- Connect your mobile device to the same local network as the computer you are using Streamlabs Desktop on.
- Open Streamlabs Desktop ⚙️
Settings > Remote Control
and ensure the "Allow remote connections" toggle is turned ON - Open Streamlabs Controller App, and your phone should automatically show up under connected devices in Streamlabs Desktop.
Unable to connect Streamlabs Controller App
First click retry, then wait a moment to see if the connection can be established. You may also want to try closing and reopening the controller app to try again.
If your WiFi has multiple bands (like 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) please try each one.
Additional Network Troubleshooting

- Make sure that 'AP Isolation' or 'Access Point Isolation' is not enabled.
- If using a guest wifi point, allow devices to access the local network.
- Allow Streamlabs Desktop through the firewall.
Connect Streamlabs Controller Over the Internet
It is possible to connect the RC via the internet, but some advanced network knowledge might be required. Also, keep in mind that if your home internet is on a dynamic IP address from your ISP, this IP can change, and you need to adjust this accordingly if changed.

- Change the IP to your
Public IP address
- To get your public address, you can check out whatismyip.com.
- If you used another port to forward, replace the default port.
- Press
OK
and head back to Remote Control.
