Live streaming is a popular way for creators to share gameplay or other interests through interactive platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook. Whether playing your current favorite game or just chatting about what’s trending in the news, live streaming is an amazing way to connect friends and fans over shared interests.
While streaming from computers and gaming consoles can help give your live stream a professional touch in some ways, not having this kind of setup shouldn’t stop you from streaming. Mobile live streaming lets you share live gameplay and other live content directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device, wherever you are.
Today, we’ll walk you through how to use Streamlabs Mobile, a mobile live streaming app that allows you to customize your live stream with a much simpler setup than streaming from a desktop.
How to Live Stream Mobile Games and More with Streamlabs Mobile App
Unlike streaming from native apps on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, Streamlabs Mobile gives you full control over your stream.
Step 1: Besides having an account on the streaming platform you plan to broadcast to (Twitch, YouTube, etc.), you need to install Streamlabs Mobile.
If you plan on live streaming mobile gameplay, also make sure the game is installed on the same device. The Streamlabs Mobile App is available for Android here and iOS.
Step 2: Open the Streamlabs mobile app and log in with your credentials. You have the option of logging directly into the social platform of your choice or using your Streamlabs ID, which is one simple login that gives you access to a host of creator tools and features from Streamlabs, such as Streamlabs Desktop (live streaming software), multistreaming to different platforms simultaneously, clip editing, and much more.
We recommend creating a Streamlabs ID so you can take your live streaming and creator journey to new heights.
Step 3: Customize your stream layout using the Scene Editor, which allows you to add widgets, custom overlay themes, custom images, and more. Choose from a default layout or build your own from scratch by selecting custom.

Step 5: Once you’ve finished editing the layout of your live stream, enable your camera and microphone. While the main focus of your stream will be your gameplay, you should turn your camera on for those moments when you put your game on pause and engage with your audience.
Step 6: When you are ready to start broadcasting your gameplay, have your game open, and then click on the Go Live button on the homepage of the Streamlabs Mobile App. When asked, “do you want to share your screen or camera?” select Screenshare. This is how viewers will be able to see your gameplay.
Step 7: Choose the platform you want to broadcast to and enter a title and description of your live stream.
Step 8: That’s it! Now, you can hit the Go Live button, open your game to stream your gameplay or hop on camera to chat with your audience.
