If you revel in all things Christmas, you’re going to love what we’ve got in store for you today. Grab a mug of eggnog, a plate of Christmas cookies, and your coziest loungewear because we’re talking Christmas-themed games. All of the games on this list are cozy, Christmassy, or both—some even available for under $5 USD or free. If you’re still searching for new games after the Black Friday sales, check out our list below.
Faircroft’s Antiques: Home for Christmas
This slow-paced game has you search for hidden objects among intricately illustrated Christmas-themed backgrounds (the holiday music is also great!). You play as Mia Faircroft, a half-Malaysian conservator who heads home for the holidays with a grieving friend in tow. Point and click for hidden treasures, play mini games, and read snippets of charming dialogue between Mia and her loved ones. This game would be fun to play on stream if you allow backseating, as your chat could help you look for clues. Home for Christmas can be purchased for as little as $1.99 when it’s on sale.

Next up we have a free micro-game from Whitepot Studios. In this don’t-get-caught game, you play as a cute, bespectacled “Sneak-a-Claus” trying to deliver presents as steathily as possible. Help Santa complete his Christmas Eve training by avoiding the detection robots that patrol the house training grounds. If the idea of tiptoeing around has you feeling less “cozy” and more “anxious,” never fear—simply choose “Elf mode” to give you an unlimited number of lives. While this game is free on Steam and the Whitepot Studios website, players have the option to tip the developers if they’re able (which we think is pretty cool!).
The Sims 4
Though you might not associate the Sims 4 with Christmas, there are plenty of decorations in Build Mode for you to build a snowy log cabin, Santa’s workshop, or anything else you can dream up. Highly skilled simmers often upload out-of-this-world creations to the Gallery, which you can download for free and use in your own game. If you have the Seasons pack installed, your sim can participate in Christmas traditions and even receive gifts from “Father Winter.” The base game of the Sims 4 was recently made free-to-play, so now’s the perfect time to try it out. Also, if you’re into mods, the Sims has an official mod website, so you can download without fear of game-breaking (or worse) files.
Disney Dreamlight Valley

With the timely release of the Festive Star Path update, Disney Dreamlight Valley is a great addition to our cozy Christmas games list. This Disney-themed life simulator has been a smash hit with both Disney diehards and casual fans alike. Disney Dreamlight Valley is capable of filling the Animal Crossing/Stardew Valley-shaped space that all cozy gamers carry in their hearts. You can do all of the cozy game standbys—crafting, cooking, gardening, etc. in Disney Dreamlight Valley and more. If you’re one of the few people who hasn’t experienced the magic of DDV, Christmas could be the perfect time to give it a go.
Ooblets
Part farming sim, part Pokemon-style gameplay, Ooblets is overflowing with cute, cozy vibes. Grow and collect magical creatures and dress them up for the holiday season with the Wintertime Event, which lasts the entire month of December. From the charming art style to the addicting gacha gameplay, Ooblets is sure to be a great addition to any holiday stream.
Santa Rockstar
Delightfully corny with a touch of nostalgia, Santa Rockstar is a Guitar Hero inspired rhythm game with metal versions of your favorite Christmas songs. With any rhythm game, you need to be careful to avoid copyright strikes, which can lead to muted VODs at best and account bans at worst, so take this suggestion with a grain of salt. As a general rule, Christmas songs of yesteryear (think “Jingle Bells” and the like) are a part of the public domain and therefore exempt from copyright laws. If you’ve got a couple of bucks and a USB controller, Santa Rockstar could be the perfect game to get you and your chat rockin’ around the (virtual) Christmas tree.

Though these games either weren’t cozy enough or Christmassy enough to make our list, we still feel they’d be great to try out on your stream this holiday season.
Pokemon Cafe ReMix (Mobile and Switch)
If you’re hoping to receive Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for Christmas and need something to tide you over in the meantime, Pokemon Cafe Remix may be just the game for you. Though it isn’t Christmas-themed per se, mixing tasty drinks for cute Pokemon is high on our list of cozy activities. Best of all, Pokemon Cafe Remix is free! We recommend streaming it on your phone with Streamlabs Mobile, as it requires you to tap the screen (meaning you can’t stream it from your Switch).
The Red Lantern (Steam/Switch)
Though this survival game isn’t exactly cozy, dog-sledding through the Alaskan wilderness is the ultimate winter aesthetic. Hunt, fish, and tend to your dogs (yes, you can pet the doggos) in harsh, snowy conditions from the comfort of your warm and toasty home. There's also a "Zen mode," which lets you ride the dogsled handsfree through the wintery terrain.
After the Fall (Oculus/Steam/Playstation)
Though we’re pretty sure After the Fall is the opposite of cozy, this VR survival game lets you fight zombie-like monsters in sub-zero conditions. Maybe pretend you’re trekking through the North Pole to save Santa from a horde of vicious Snowbreaders? Grab your friends and stream After the Fall using Streamlabs Collab Cam for a broadcast that’s sure to make your viewers tremble from both cold and fear.
