Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate how far we’ve come to fight for equality and think about the work we still need to do. In addition to the parties and parades, it’s also the perfect time to give back to the LGBTQIA+ community. From donating to your favorite organization to being an active voice of change, there are many ways to get involved.
While LGBTQ pride can be traced back to the 1969 Stonewall Riots, queer people in America have not only had to fight against discrimination but have also fought for their lives for decades before. Pride month commemorates the Stonewall Riots and important events such as the first Gay Pride march in 1970, the first state to legalize gay marriage in 2004, and many other important milestones. Each year, Pride Month provides an opportunity to reflect on the struggles faced by the LGBTQIA+ community, both in the past and in the present.
At Streamlabs, we proudly celebrate Pride and want everyone to be themselves in every way. We believe that inclusivity and equality should have no boundaries. Diversity and inclusion are pillars of our company values, as we know true change can only come about when we all come together.
That is why today, we are providing a list of 23 charities supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. All of these charities are available on Streamlabscharity.com. Streamlabs is the only free charity fundraising platform. We have no annual fees and take a 0% cut of donations. If you’d like to support some of these charities during Pride month, consider scheduling a charity stream or donating today.
