What is a Streamlabs Controller?
If you are new to streaming, you may be asking yourself, “what exactly does Streamlabs Controller do?” A Streamlabs Controller gives you unprecedented control of your stream; quickly go live, switch between scenes or sources, record gameplay, save replays, and more by pushing a button on your phone.
How to Set Up Streamlabs Controller with Streamlabs Desktop
- Install or update to the latest version of the Streamlabs Controller app on your mobile device.
- Connect your mobile device to the same local network as the computer you are using Streamlabs Desktop on.
- Open Streamlabs Desktop ⚙️
Settings > Remote Control
and ensure the "Allow remote connections" toggle is turned ON - Open Streamlabs Controller App, and your phone should automatically show up under connected devices in Streamlabs Desktop.
Once connected, you’ll see options to go live, start recording, switch scenes, toggle your sources off and on, and start recording on the Controller App. You can also configure this screen to choose which buttons appear on the app.
Additional Features
Streamlabs Controller also has dedicated sections for your recent events and chat, which can be very handy for single monitor users. Now you can easily monitor and control your stream from your phone, all for free!
