In the spirit of reaching more people and building community where they are, we’re happy to announce that Streamlabs Cross Clip now supports Kick clips, making it easier than ever to turn your greatest Kick moments into high-quality vertical videos for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Keep reading to learn more about this exciting integration and how you can use it to create even more amazing content.
How to Use Streamlabs Cross Clip with Kick Clips
- Start by heading over to your Kick channel and selecting the Clips tab.
- Next, select the clip that you want to repurpose into a short-form video.
- Once you’ve selected the clip, it should appear in a video player on your screen, including the title of the clip and the username of the person who created the clip. To the bottom right of the player, you’ll see a button featuring the Streamlabs logo. Click the logo to take your clip into Streamlabs Cross Clip.
Editing Your Kick Clips Using Streamlabs Cross Clip
- Once you’re in Streamlabs Cross Clip, you can begin editing your clip. The default layer comes with a content box and a camera box. Drag and drop these boxes across the canvas to highlight a portion of the clip and scale the boxes up or down if you want to zoom in.
- Towards the bottom of the editor, you’ll find a yellow slider that you can move around or drag to lengthen and shorten the portion of your clip you would like to include.
- You also have the option to change the output format (if you need to), blur the background (if your regions don’t take up the entire output canvas), and toggle the watermark and outro on or off (for Cross Clip Pro and Streamlabs Ultra members only).
- Layers are an easy way to arrange content on top of one another if needed. A layer can have a predefined aspect ratio (like portrait), or if you want to go free for all, you can select Unlock Aspect Ratio.
- Before finishing your project, be sure to preview your clip. For a real-time preview of how your clip will look, toggle off the borders in the Settings. The orange, green, and plethora of other colors on the screen will disappear, and you’ll be left with a looping preview for your eyes only.
- Once you’re done editing your clips, click the yellow Compile button. Title your clip, choose your frame rate, then click Start Compilation.
- No need to wait around. We’ll email you once your clip is ready. From there, you can download and upload it to the platform of your choice. Alternatively, you can upload straight to TikTok by clicking the Upload to TikTok button.
We’re on the lookout for awesome clips, so be sure to use #streamlabs with the Kick clips you post on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, and you might see us drop in on your stream!
Pro-Tip: If you want to put multiple Kick Clips together, you can do so by editing them individually (as we walked through earlier) and then creating a Montage in Streamlabs Cross Clip. To do this, simply head back to your Streamlabs Cross Clip homepage and select the Create Montage button. Name your project, choose a transition, and add all of your desired (previously edited clips).
And just like that, you’ve edited your first Kick Clip using Streamlabs Cross Clip and are ready to post on any short-form video platform of your choice. As we briefly mentioned, by signing up for Cross Clip Pro ($4.99 per month for a la carte pro version) or Streamlabs Ultra (monthly or annual options for a suite of premium creator apps including all the premium features of Cross Clip plus other tools like Streamlabs Desktop) you can do so much more with your clips like remove the watermark and export videos in 1080p/ 60fps.
