What was the moment that made you say to yourself, “I want to be a Twitch streamer?”
I knew I wanted to be a Twitch streamer way back in 2012, while watching speedruns through a third party site. Everyone I watched there was having a good time, making friends, and playing video games! I just wanted to be a part of that whole ecosystem.
If there’s anything you could go back and tell yourself before starting out in this industry, what would it be?
If I could go back and tell “new-streamer-me” anything, I’d let myself know that not everything has to be hard, and to just keep enjoying what I’m doing!
What are some recommendations you have for people that want to grow their Twitch channel?
The biggest piece of advice I will always give is CONSISTENCY. Consistent stream times, consistent stream material, consistent stream quality. It’s not just ‘same time/same place’ every day, it’s what you do with that time so that people know what to expect when they visit your channel.
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of streaming?
Some of my personal favourite hobbies outside of streaming include crocheting, figure skating, and lately I’ve picked up gardening. Streaming is still technically work, so having some relaxing activities to turn off to is a big priority of mine.
What is something your viewers may be surprised to learn about you?
There isn’t much that my viewers would be surprised about at this point, but if I had to choose one thing, it’s probably that I eat poutine more often than the pizza I have on Pizza Fridays!
What has been the most memorable moment of your streaming career so far?
I’ve had so many great and memorable moments on stream that it’s hard to pick just one! If I must choose, it’s between hitting 10,000 subscriber points, unlocking the final tier of emote slots, or the launch of Super Mario Maker 2. Getting to experience my favourite game for the first time is definitely something worth remembering!
