As a streamer, it’s a lot of work to fire up the PC, get your background looking sharp, and ensure all of your many applications are running as designed. For those days when you’d rather stream from the sofa (or while in bed!) and want a simpler setup, mobile streaming is the perfect solution. This Halloween, why not give mobile streaming a try with a great horror or thriller game? All you need is your phone, the free Streamlabs Mobile app, and your game of choice.
Alien: Isolation
A staff favorite, Alien: Isolation is beloved for its great worldbuilding, killer graphics, and heart-stopping action scenes. You play as the daughter of Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and are tasked with finding the flight recorder from the Nostromo, the ship from the original Alien film. Crawl, crouch, and outright sprint to avoid predators, both alien and human, as you make your way through a space station of terrors. This is one superb mobile game you won’t want to miss! Available for both Android and iOS.
Yangyang Mobile: The Letter
The Letter is a visual novel available for PC, Mac, and Linux as well as mobile devices (both Android and iOS). You can choose from seven different characters to play as you navigate your way through a cursed mansion set in the 17th century. With its anime style art, full English voice acting, and influence from Japanese horror films such as The Grudge and The Ring, The Letter is the perfect game to play on stream this Halloween.
Simulacra
A mobile horror game with a smartphone user interface? Yes, please! Simulacra takes game immersion to another level as you sort through texts, apps, and photos on the phone of a missing girl. Complete with live actors as well as voice, you’ll dive deeper into the missing girl’s phone to attempt to discover what happened to her. Simulacra would be a fun game to play on stream as you and your chat work to solve the clues together (if you allow backseating, that is!). Available for both Android and iOS.
Very Little Nightmares
As you might expect, Very Little Nightmares is the mobile version of Little Nightmares, the puzzle/platformer hit that was released on all consoles a few years back. In the mobile version, you’re still playing as the little girl in the yellow raincoat navigating through a series of dangerous traps. If you’re a fan of puzzles and the creepy-cute aesthetic that the Little Nightmares franchise executes so well, definitely consider picking up the mobile version. Available for both Android and iOS.
Five Nights at Freddy’s
One of the most popular jumpscare games to stream, Five Nights at Freddy’s has a mobile version too! If you’re not familiar with FNaF, you play as a night security guard at a children’s pizza restaurant that may or may not be modeled after a cheese-loving rat named “Chuck.” Freddy and his animatronic friends tend to misbehave at night and it’s up to you to fend them off. It’s a race to make it to daylight as you check security cameras and manage the automatic metal doors. What happens when the power goes out? Just pray you don’t find out. P.S. If you're in need of some cool overlays for your next game of FNaF, we have a great selection for you to choose from.
Will you give mobile streaming a try this Halloween season? Enjoy a break from your PC every now and then without having to skip your stream. With the Streamlabs Mobile app, you can stream from just about anywhere, even hiding under the covers (we won’t tell!).
