Even after you become an affiliate or partner, Twitch has implemented a couple more requirements you’ll need to meet before you can start your subscriber-only stream.
- Must have broadcast at least 90 unique days as Affiliate or Partner
- Must not have violated Twitch Community Guidelines in your last 90 unique broadcast days. This means that if your channel received a suspension, you would need to broadcast on 90 different days without another violation to be eligible again.
Rules to Broadcast a Subscriber-only Stream
Remember, just because your only streaming to subscribers, Twitch’s community guidelines still apply! A subscriber-only stream is not a pass to break Twitch’s Terms of Service. Please review these carefully and understand what kind of content is acceptable to broadcast on the platform.
How to Start a Subscriber-only Stream on Twitch
If you meet the guidelines, an option will appear to change the Audience you can broadcast to. To do this, visit your Broadcaster Dashboard and follow these steps:
- Go to your Broadcaster Dashboard.
- Select Subscribers under the Audience section of your Stream Information tab.
- Moderators and VIPs are able to view Subscriber Streams by default. If you wish to remove their access, uncheck their respective checkboxes in the Audience section.
- Begin your stream.
If you are already live and wish to change your stream to subscriber-only, you will need to end the stream, change the audience, and restart your broadcast.
