Streamlabs Console is web-based broadcasting software for console game players and live streamers. It combines live stream alerts, chat, recent events, and stream overlays into a single solution so players can transform their gameplay into an engaging live stream. Currently, Streamlabs Console is available exclusively for Twitch streamers on Xbox.
How Does Streamlabs Console Work?
Streamers can choose “Streamlabs” as a destination within the Twitch app and customize their stream. Streamlabs Console will broadcast the stream to Twitch along with any personalized widgets, overlays, or webcam included by the streamer.
Step-by-Step Guide to Setting up Streamlabs Console
Step 1: Start by logging into Streamlabs Console and connecting your Twitch account. If you’re new to Streamlabs Console, you can sign up for a free 7-day trial on the signup page.
Otherwise, the software is $4.99 per month (alone) or a part of the Streamlabs Ultra subscription, which gives you access to a ton of amazing tools, including the premium features of Streamlabs Desktop live streaming software and more.
Step 2: Once you’re logged in, add your overlays, customize widgets, and more to make your live stream stand out. Learn more about customizing your Streamlabs Console live streaming experience in this video on our YouTube Channel.
P.S. Streamlabs Console supports streams at both 1080p30 and 720p30. For optimal performance and quality, we recommend setting your bitrate to 3500 in the Twitch app.
Step 3: Begin by starting the game you want to play and stream on your Xbox. In this example, we’ll be playing JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Step 4: Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the left-hand navigation menu.
Step 5 & 6: Scroll to the right until you reach the Capture & Share menu. Next, scroll down to Live streaming.
Step 7: Log into your Twitch account using the available options.
Step 8: Once authenticated, you will see a menu where you can scroll to More Options.
Step 9: In the More options menu, you can set your streaming settings, including audio, resolution, overlay, and destination. Be sure to select Streamlabs as your destination.
Step 10: Scroll to Stream Name to edit the name of your stream. In the screenshots below, we’re naming the stream “Jojo’s” to reflect the game we’re playing.
Step 11: Scroll down and click Go Live now to start your stream.
Step 12: Once your stream starts, the menu items update to include Stop live stream and Pause live stream. Use these options as needed throughout your live stream.
Step 13: Navigate back to your game and control Streamlabs Console scenes via Streamlabs Console.
