The Twitch VOD Track is a feature in Streamlabs Desktop that allows users to exclude specific sources from their Twitch VODs. For example, if you have split audio, like music, that you don't want to be saved in your Twitch VOD, you can use this setting. For further information on how to split your audio sources, see our guide here.
To enable and configure Twitch VOD, you must first ensure that your selected platform is correctly set to Twitch, or if you're using Dual Output, ensure that one of your destinations is set to Twitch.
Once you've ensured your platform is correct, you'll need to navigate to Settings > Output in Streamlabs Desktop. If your Output Mode is set to Simple, enable "Advanced encoder settings", then enable "Twitch VOD".
If your Output Mode is set to Advanced, enable the "Twitch VOD" option.
The default track for Twitch VOD is Track 2, but you can change it to any track you prefer. After selecting the track you want to use, you'll need to set up which of your Audio Sources will be included in the VOD and which ones won't.
To do so, navigate to your Advanced Audio Options found by clicking the gear icon above your Streamlabs Desktop audio mixer.
If Stream Track 2 (or your chosen Twitch VOD Track) is highlighted for any audio sources on the right-hand side of the source, the audio will be included in the VOD. If you don't want the audio to be included in your VOD, uncheck the track that you set up for Twitch VOD.
As long as you have configured your sources correctly, your selected audio will be excluded from your Twitch VOD and will only play when live!
