Sometimes PayPal requires an account owner to accept or approve each individual tip, which is time-consuming and irritating. It often happens because the tips are in a currency different from your default currency, or due to other regional restrictions. If you do not configure your account and you do not manually accept any tip/donation meeting the manual acceptance parameters on your account within 30 days, your funds may be returned to the sender.
You can solve this by changing these settings in your PayPal account:
- Hover over the profile icon/name in the top right and select "Account Settings"
- On the left sidebar click "Payment Preferences"
- Next find the "Block payments" setting and select "Update".
- Look for "Allow payments sent to me in a currency I do not hold" and set it to "Yes, accept and convert them to U.S Dollars." (or whatever default currency your PayPal account uses)
After that, the manual approval should discontinue and your donations will be approved automatically.
